Jaguar XKR S at Jaguar Working On Track focused XKR S

As if the XKR-S isn’t hard and fast enough, Jaguar is reportedly working on a number of special edition versions tuned for track use.

Think of it then as a stripped-down version of the XKR-S, lighter, harder, stiffer, and of course, faster. That means Jaguar has kissed all its tradition making luxury, comfortable cars goodbye, and just want to make faster cars.

Features you can expect to see in the track-focused XKR-S include lighter stereo and HVAC units for the touch-screen-based systems, hard-core racing seats, a fire-suppression system, unique gauges, and track-focused aero addenda, as well as a roll cage. Jaguar seems to be following Porsche’s GT3 recipe in making this car.

The car will be developed at, and might even be named after, the Nurburgring. Bet James May will love it!
