German sportsccar maker Melkus announced a new Black Edition of itsRS2000 model.
The Dresden-based manufacturer has garnished its carbon fiber-bodied gullwing sports car with a six-layer piano lacquer paint finish which look way cooler than any matt finish.
The car also sports a GTS body kit complete with front and rear spoilers and rear diffuser, plus a nicely trimmed interior with Alcantara headliner as well as black leather seats and special door sills with Black Edition logo embroidered on them.
Engine-wise, the RS2000 Black gets a bump in power from 300 to 325 hp, which enables it to go from zero to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
The price for the Melkus RS2000 is very dear at 149,900 EUR, or close to 200,000 USD. That sounds like a lot for what’s essentially a shed-built sports car. But it’s a German shed car, don’t forget.
