Suzuki voluntary announced they have nothing new to show at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, and will be coming with two concepts we’ve seen before.
They are the Swift Range Extender, and the G70 Concept, aka the green weirdo.
The G70 is, of course, an interesting-looking car with a drag coefficient at least 10 per cent lower than that of a current Suzuki ‘A’ segment model. It doesn’t weigh much either, at 730 kg. It is powered by a highly efficient petrol engine with CO2 emissions of 70g/km.
The Swift is an updated version of the first Range Extender concept seen first at 2010 Geneva show. It now has a battery range of 30km, which is 100 percent better than the 2010 version, which means that car was rubbish.
The car has a highly efficient 660cc three cylinder petrol engine to power the generator that charges the batteries. It still has a long way ahead of it to become a worthwhile production model.
