While Felipe Massa is struggling to keep his job at Ferrari, things are going peachy for Fernando Alonso. Ferrari’s golden boy miraculously won the Malaysian Grand Prix last weekend, which means he’s leading the championship, and the other day he received a gift from Ferrari boss Luca Di Montezemolo. The gift was a brand-new, shiny Ferrari FF.
Alonso visited Ferrari headquarters after the grand prix to meet with the boss and discuss various issues. He then dropped by the workshops and visited technicians and mechanics before hitting the gym for a quick work out, after he had taken part in the usual presentation of the flag with the Prancing Horse, which is run up at the entrance to the Scuderia department after every victory.
What can we say, the boy deserves this award. He is, after all, a two-time world champion. It just gets us wondering, what would other teams offer to their drivers as gift. Red Bull would give Vettel energy drink, which is not bad. It’s bad for Kimi Raikkonen, because all he has to look forward to if he wins is a year supply of anti-dandruff shampoo!
