Eric Clapton’s Ferrari 458 SP12 Caught on Video

Here’s the first footage of a very unique Ferrari, reportedly belonging to Eric Clapton, which popped up on the radar yesterday. This one-off coachbuilt Fezza is based on the 458 Italia, but it’s been converted by Ferrari Special Program division over a period of two years into a Ferrari 512 BB Boxer tribute. On the contrary to the first reports, it’s not powered by a V12, and has the same V8 as in normal 458s.

This special Ferrari is called officially the SP12 EPC, in which the SP is for Special Program, the 12 refers to the V12 engine, and the EPC, Eric Patrick Clapton. Styling-wise, it gets BB-inspired two-tone paint job, engine cover, buttresses, bumpers and hood, and features Ferrari Enzo headlights.

This video was captured at the HR Own dealership in London, as it was boarding a trailer, presumably on its way to reach Eric’s house. It’s kind of selfish of him keeping this car all secret and locked up. If it was Chris Evans he would have shown it to the whole world!
