SEAT Lowers Prices On 2012 Ibiza Range (UK)

2012 Ibiza Range 1 at SEAT Lowers Prices On 2012 Ibiza Range (UK)

Following its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the new 2012 SEAT Ibiza is gearing up for its market launch in UK in April. The Spanish car maker just announced each model in the new range is priced lower than their outgoing equivalents. You can obtain a new Ibiza at just £9,995 RRP on the road.

That price is for a 1.2-litre 60 PS E in three-door SC bodystyle. The Ibiza range includes many variants from the E through S A/C and SE to the sporty FR model. The most affordable Ibiza 5dr is therefore the 1.2 70 PS S /C model, at just £11,430 RRP on the road. An ST estate model with the same engine starts at £12,140.

On the average, the new models are priced £300 less than the outgoing versions. As on the outgoing model, the ‘walk’ from any Ibiza SC model to the equivalent 5dr model is just £500.  To move from 5dr to ST is another £710 in every case.

The new Ibiza comes with refreshed styling, which with a smaller grille and the optional bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights is not sportier than ever. Curved and semi-circular elements have been replaced with sharper lines while FR models gain LED tail lights for an even more distinctive light signature.  The rear bumpers have been changed, too, with sharper lines tracing the rear ‘diffuser’ section.

Changes inside the cabin include a new instrument dials and a refreshed climate control display, redesigned steering wheels across the range, including a flat-bottomed design on FR, and an enlarged glove box.
