As promised, Honda came up with a new Crosstour at the 2012 New York Auto Show. We thought they were going to get things right this time, but no. The new Crosstour, revealed as a concept, is pretty much the same as the current model, widely regarded as one of the ugliest cars on sale in America today.

The Crosstour still looks like a hunchback with massive teeth. It’s a monster! Sure it gets revised bumpers, and new sills, and new wheels, but really it’s a case of styling by deja vu. Looks like Honda is not interested in peoples opinion.

The car also gets a refined interior with revised trim materials, the addition of an 8-inch, in-dash information display, keyless ignition, and steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters on V6 models, but who gives a damn when it looks this horrid.

The 2013 Crosstour will come with a choice of either a 3.5-liter, 24-valve, SOHC, i-VTEC V6 engine, or a 2.4-liter i-VTEC inline four-cylinder engine. The former in the new addition to the range to make it more economical. It makes 162 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque.

Standard Honda Crosstour convenience features include an automatic dimming rearview mirror, auto-on/off headlights, Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® and USB audio interface. Other available features on the 2013 Crosstour will include a hard-drive based navigation system, Pandora internet radio interface, XM satellite radio and an SMS text-to-speech function.
