Who said Chrysler can’t do high-tech stuff? They just announced an industry-first in vehicle wireless charging system that works with iPhone, Blackberry, MP3 Players and Droid-based devices, thus eliminating the annoying, dangling power cords and basically the need for power outlets. The system will make its commercial debut as a Mopar feature available for the 2013 Dodge Dart.

The system consists of an integrated power bin, measuring 8.27 inches by 9.5 inches by 3.25 inches, located just below the center stack and in front of the center console for easy access and convenience, and a built-in charging grid that is activated when customers place in their battery-powered device. Fire up the vehicle, the device gets charged as you go along.

It also comes with a specifically designed phone case for a variety of smartphones. The in-car wireless charging system option costs $199.99, plus installation.
