Infiniti completes its G Saloon line-up in the British market with an all-wheel-drive version of the G37. The Infinti G37xS AWD offers the same sporty feel of the V6-powered sedan, and all the luxury and quality of an Infiniti, in addition to the benefits of a sophisticated AWD system. The G37x is priced from £38,979.
This being a G37, power comes from a 3.7 liter V6 engine developing 316bhp (320PS), which is transmitted to all four wheels via a 7-speed transmission. The performance is not what you call brisk, and the fuel consumption is not what you call brilliant.
The G37x S does 0 to 62mph in 6 seconds, has a top speed of 149mph and an official combined fuel consumption of 25.7mpg (11.0 l/100km) with CO2 emissions of 255g/km. On the upside, the traction and versatility of the AWD system means the performance is more accessible and the car is more usable in bad weather condition, which in the UK means everyday!
The car’s distinguishing features on the outside include red S badges, 18-inch Sport design alloy wheels and smoked lens headlights, while inside the cabin you get sports seats, with 14-way electric adjustment for the driver, and aluminium pedals and footrest. The G37x S also comes with the Multimedia pack of hard disk drive (HDD) navigation and music systems, 10-speaker Bose® Premium Sound System, reversing camera and high resolution touch screen.
Also standard on the G37xS are seat facings, Shodo aluminium trim, adaptive bi-Xenon lights, Scratch Shield paint, i-Key smart access, electrically adjustable front seats and steering column, and heated front seats are standard. The only option for any G model is metallic paint (£577).
