Peugeot opens the order book for the new 208 in the United Kingdom, where the car can be obtained for as little as £9,995. Mind you, for that kinda money you get the 3 door VTi 68bhp Access model. You are better off with one of the higher trim levels, including Access+, Active, Allure and Feline. There’s also an ‘Ice Velvet’ Limited Edition which is the best of the lot. Still, if all you want is the new SR1-inspired design, the 10 grand model would suffice.

Peugeot 208 is available in both 3 and 5 door body style, and comes with eight engines, including five petrol and three diesel units.
