After confirming the fuel economy rating for the Prius Plug-in, Toyota releases official pricing of the car in the British market. After the Government-funded grant of £5,000 which the plug-in hybrid Prius fully qualifies for, the car can be obtained for £27,895. The new Prius launches in the UK with a single trim level, but there are quite a few options you can spec up your car with.
The standard kit you receive with a Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid includes LED daytime running lights and headlights; Toyota Touch and Go Plus with touchscreen controls, satellite navigation, voice recognition, rear-view camera and advanced Bluetooth for phone connection and audio streaming, a DAB digital tuner, eight-speaker JBL sound system, rain-sensing wipers and cruise control, as well as heated front seats, 15-inch alloy wheels with wheel caps and leather steering wheel trim.
Items you find on the options list include Black leather upholstery (£1,500) and rear privacy glass (£270), Protection Pack (rear parking sensors and boot liner) and a Style Pack (exterior chrome trim elements), both at £360.
Available colors for the exterior include Sky Blue (metallic), Tyrol Silver and Novus Grey metallics, and White Pearl Pearlescent. Interior can be had in Minowa black fabric with optional Setana black leather upholstery.
