Infiniti UK announced launch of an upgraded version of the popular FX crossover in the British market. While the prices for the 2012 Infiniti FX remains the same as last year, the car gets a couple of mostly visual updates to make it look and feel fresh. The performance is also unchanged over the lasts year’s model.

The engine lineup for the 2012 FX includes the 320-hp 3.7-litre petrol V6 engine for the FX37 model, and the 238-hp 3.0-litre V6 diesel for the FX30. Prices start from £46,750 on-the-road for the luxury FX37 GT model, and £46,840 for the diesel equivalent.

Sporty S versions, that are distinguished with smoked headlights, red S badging and dark chrome exterior air vent and sill strip, start at £48,850 fro the FX37 and £48,940 for the FX30d S diesel.

For the performance-minded drivers, there is the 385bhp (390PS) 5.0-litre V8-powered FX50 model, which starts from a rather steep £58,250.

As for the visual changes, the new FX comes with revised front-end design, along with bold new colours including Iridium Blue, plus new wheel designs, which in the case of GT and GT Premium derivatives are 20-inch big, while the S models get 21-inch. The S also gets Rear Active Steering and Continuous Damping Control.
