Unveiled at the 2012 Mille Miglia, the new Maserati Edition of Abarth 695 will go on sale in the UK a the end of the year. But if you want one you should be quick in placing your order because Abarth will only make 499 units of this car. 695 code is designated only to the most special version of the Abarth 500. Before this they made a 695 Tributo Ferrari.

The little 695 is priced at £32,000, which is more than twice the price of a standard Abarth 500. But then it’s quite a special car, it’s a tribute to Maserati, and it comes with lots of features and equipments.

Engine-wise, the car gets the same 180bhp 1.4-litre turbocharged T-Jet engine mated to an electrically-operated manual Abarth Competizione gearbox with steering wheel controls. That is not that incredible. But the visual details and the extra garnish, is.

The car gets 17-inch Maserati-inspired Neptune design alloy wheels,  Brembo monobloc callipers, dual mode exhaust system with an amazing soundtrack, three-layer Pontevecchio Bordeaux paint job, grey fabric roof, sand beige leather upholstery with a 695 logo embossed on the headrests, special matt-finish carbon lining and some more logos. Other details include the aluminium pedal unit and sill plates, the carbon fibre kick plate with customised Abarth 695 Maserati Edition graphics, and a plate with the car’s series number from 1 to 499.

Among the special equipments of the car is a set of Tramontano leather luggage. Still not convinced it’s worth 32 grand?!
