It’s been a while since we last saw a mainstream car at Jay Leno’s Garage, but this episode features two, and two good ones. What we really like about Jay’s garage is that all kind of cars are welcome there, not just the exotic, expensive stuff. He appreciates technology, especially American tech. Which is why he’s happy to look at Ford’s latest green cars, the 2012 Focus Electric, and the stunning 2013 Ford Fusion hybrid today.
We don’t really care about the Focus, but we’re quite keen to see and learn more about the Fusion Hybrid. It looks fabulous, and with best-in-class fuel economy of 47 mpg in city driving and 44 mpg on the highway, it’s also quite green.
Jay is joined by Ford’s Kevin Layden, Director of Electrification Programs and Engineering to review the duo.
I was reading about the 2013 Ford Fusion a couple of days ago. I think this car is going to capture the general public when it’s released this fall. Its a sharp looking car that is affordable and gets great gas mileage. Have you pre-ordered yours yet? 🙂
