A prototype of the all-new Jaguar F-Type will be present at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, and it will be driven up the famous hill for the public to see the car in action for the very first time. The car coming to Goodwood is powered by a supercharged V6 engine that produces 375bhp and 332lb-ft of torque (you can listen to its soundtrack here). There is also a V8 model with more than 500 horsepower in the works.
The spiritual successor to the legendary E-Type is a two-seater roadster sports car with a lightweight body and a canvas roof. it also has a compact size. As for the looks, well, no one has seen it yet. But the F-Type is expected to be very close to the C-X16 coupe concept, without the rood obviously. A car with such awesome specs and such a magnificent engine, and a Jaguar badge, won’t be a minger, that’s for sure!
Not sure if the Goodwood-bound prototype is going to be camouflaged or undisguised. Guess we have to wait for the world’s coolest garden party to begin and then find out.
