The new SEAT Toledo has been unveiled today in production trim, and confirmed for a mid-November launch, initially in Spain and Portugal. Staying loyal to the concept version, the new Toledo is a good-looking mid-size saloon with swagger of an elegant coupe, and practicality of a four-door sedan. SEAT promises that it will be very dynamic and fun to drive as well.
The Toledo has a length of 4.48 meters and a wheelbase of 2.6 meters. So unless you are some kind of a giant, you’d fine in it. Volkswagen has hooked up SEAT with a range of good petrol and diesel engines for this car, and seven-speed dual-shift gearbox (DSG) on selected models.
The petrol powered engines are available in 1.2 and 1.4 displacements, with output ranging from 55 kW (75 PS) and 90 kW (122 PS); the petrol Ecomotive version boasts CO2 emissions of just 116 g/km. The 1.6 liter diesel produces 77 kW (105 PS), and emits 104 g/km CO2. In 2013 a 90PS diesel wll be added to the range.
The standard safety package for all SEAT Toledos includes driver and passenger airbags, front side airbags and head/thorax airbags. The base model also comes with central locking, a two piece folding rear bench and power windows in the front.
Following Spain and turkey, the new SEAT Toledo will launch in UK in early 2013, and then Germany, Mexico and Turkey.
