During the launch party for the new Fiat 500L, a crossover version of the Fiat 500 was also shown to the visitors very briefly. It couldn’t escape from the cameras though, and just like that we have the first image of the Fiat 500X crossover. Even thought the idea of a jacked-up Fiat 500 with four doors sounds kinda ridiculous, but you have to say the car looks pretty nice. It’s a giant 500!

The 500X will replace the Fiat Sedici in the Italian car maker’s range, and will also underpin a small crossover for Fiat’s American partner Chrysler. The American version will be branded a Jeep. Teh Fiat 500X will be competing with cars like Nissan Juke, Opel Mokka and MINI Countryman. Despite looking kinda cutesy, and fashionable, the 500X should be a good 4×4 car. Fiat does know how to make them.
