This year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed the all-new Jaguar F-Type made its public debut in prototype form and fully camouflaged. Jaguar is now ready to show us a video of the car going up the Goodwood hill, and we can add this to the other hundred teasers they’ve released so far. Thing is, the F-Type is worth the wait. The car is a spiritual successor to the legendary E-Type, and you can tell that by listening to its exhaust noise. It’s apparently tuned to sounds like the big E, especially on the overrun.
Mike Cross, the driver and one of the project managers, said: “The F-TYPE will deliver a driver-focused sports car experience, and camouflaged prototypes like this one are currently being tested all over the world. The development programme is right on schedule, and coming here today to showcase just a little of the dynamic precision, noise, speed and excitement that the production F-TYPE will exhibit is very satisfying. The reaction of the crowd has been fantastic – I’d like to keep running it up the hill all day!”
