Fans can now make their perfect 2013 Mustang from the comfort of… wherever they are thanks to a new downloadable app Ford has made for iOS and Android phones and tablets. The app offers all the feature of the web-based customizer, and more than that, it enables user to save their car and have it automatically entered into the battle mode where other users can vote on their favorite designs.

You can also save the pictures of your dream Mustang and use them as desktop wallpaper on computers, phones and tablets or share it on social media sites using built-in features. In the competition mode users earn points and up to 70 different badges for each car they build, participating in battles, wins and also individual challenges against their Facebook friends. Participants can select their favorite custom design for a chance to win one of four dream Ford Mustangs to be built.

The most interesting part of the app, however, must be the drift challenge. You can select each of the custom Mustangs you have designed and saved in your garage, and race it around any of nine different courses. You can also compete against your friends and beat their times.
