Chevrolet confirmed specs and details of the Trax crossover for the British market, where it will be available with two trim levels and three engines. The Trax combines the high-riding driving position of a SUV with efficiency of a compact car, and practicality of a estate car. Only two versions of it get all-wheel-drive system though.
In terms of practicality, Chevy Trax offers 385 liters of cargo space with the rear seats up, and 1,370 liters with them folded flat. The car also comes with a fair amount of kit.It comes with two LS and LT trim levels.
The base LS trim level features 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, remote central locking, rear parking sensors, front fog lights and auto headlights together with Bluetooth compatibility. The LT trim level adds 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear parking camera, light-sensitive rear view mirror and leather steering wheel and gearknob, as well as the innovative Chevrolet Mylink system as standard.
As for the engines, UK engine line-up will include a 1.4L turbocharged petrol unit, a 1.6L petrol engine as well as a 1.7L turbo-diesel engine. The 1.4L turbo petrol engine is mated to an AWD system and cranks out 140 hp (103 kW), producing a maximum torque of 200 Nm. The AWD system is also available on the 1.7L diesel engine, with a power output of 130 hp (96 kW), a maximum torque of 300 Nm and CO2 emissions of 120g/km. All powertrains with manual transmission get Start/Stop as standard.
