McLaren P1, without a shadow of doubt, is the star of this year’s Paris Motor Show. A successor to the irreplaceable McLaren F1, the P1 is a million quid hyper car capable of extreme performance and mind-boggling speed. It uses so many Formula 1 technologies, it can virtually be used for Grand Prix racing. But it’s a road car. ‘Our aim is not necessarily to be the fastest in absolute top speed but to be the quickest and most rewarding series production road car on a circuit’, says McLaren Automotive Managing Director Antony Sheriff. ‘It is the true test of a supercar’s all round ability and a much more important technical statement.
