Taking advantage of the hype created for the new 208 GTi, Peugeot announced the car will launch in the Spring of 2013 with a limited edition of just 54 units, with 29 going to the UK. This limited GTi models will come with an enhanced specification, and obviously cost more than the standard car. In UK the 208 GTi Limited is priced at £20,495.
Specs and features of the car are yet to be revealed, but this range-topping version will come with exclusive satin pearlescent white paint and 17” ‘Carbon’ Onyx Black Alloys. The UK versions – numbered from 01 to 29, one for each year since the UK launch of the original 205 GTi in 1984 – will feature a Union Jack flag on the lower grille. GTi Pugs have always been widely popular in the UK, and this is an homage the French company is paying to its British customers as a thank you.
The British versions will also be fitted with lots of standard equipment including Satellite Navigation and Digital Radio (DAB).
