Czech car maker Skoda is treating its British customers with two new limited and special Octavia models that offer greater value for money than the standard car, considering the amount of kit you receive with them, in addition to the Octavia’s natural combination of reliability, comfort and interior space.
There are two new Octavia limited, the SE Connect and the vRS Blackline. The one you see above the is the VRS Blackline which is the cooler of the two, and can be had in both hatch and estate body styles.
Unique features of this model on the outside include 18-inch black alloy wheels and Candy White, Black Magic pearl effect or Race Blue metallic exterior colors. Inside it gets a range of equipments including acoustic rear parking sensors, Amundsen satellite navigation system, DAB radio and vRS leather upholstery. Engine-wise, you get the 2.0-litre TDI CR 170PS DPF that can be hooked to either a six-speed manual or six-speed DSG automatic transmissions.
Limited to 500 units, the Blackline is priced between £21,260 to £23,495 OTR depending on bodystyle.
The Octavia SE Connect is the more dignified one with a normal exterior and a 1.6 TDI CR 105PS DPF engine and manual transmission under the bonnet. It doesn’t lack anything in terms of equipments though, what with having 16-inch ‘Crateris’ alloy wheels, rear acoustic parking sensors and GSM II telephone preparation and metallic paint, plus ŠKODA’s mobile device interface (MDI) connectivity package and Maxidot functionality.
There’s 200 units of this model offered in the UK, with prices starting from £13,990 for the hatchback version.
