2012 SEMA: Ford Escape and Explorer

Ford has, rather disinterestedly, come up with a couple of tuning packages for their Explorer and Escape SUVs, to be shown at the 2012 SEMA show. They will join Ford’s rich lineup of tricked-out Focus and Fusion models at the show, trying to wow the crowd with their unique designs and paint jobs.

The SEMA-bound Explorer, and yes, there is only one, is based on the new Sport model and tweaked with a TS Designs wide body kit, and a set of three-piece forged 26-inch Forgiato Wheels. The car is then painted Pearl White, and fitted with white interior as well, courtesy of Top Stitch.

There are two Ford Escapes coming to SEMA this year. The first, and the better one, is the Urban Escape Adventure. This mean and aggressive looking Escape looks like the sort of cars you see in apocalypse movies. It has a matte grey paint job, lowered ride height, chunky wheels with black rims, and a big front guard, probably to ram the zombies with.

The other car, the HPP Ford Escape, is a jolly green SUV with what Ford refers to as smart body kit. This one too has lowered ride height and massive wheels, and a revamped interior. Both Escapes are powered by Ford’s 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine.
