McLaren has been releasing videos about the new P1 hyper car every other day since its unveiling at the Paris Motor Show. This latest one is quiet informative, as Paul McKenzie, Programme Director for the P1, talks you through the Formula 1 technologies used in this car. In some areas like active aero the P1 is actually more advanced than the F1 cars. The active wing though is similar to F1’s DRS.

Paul also reveals a secret about the cat. Those nostrils in the bonnet, they didn’t have to be there. in fact the engineers were kind of skeptical to use them. In the end they left the decision to Ron Dennis, who gave the go ahead. So those are actually Ron’s nostrils!
