Each year Neiman Marcus offers a special car in its Christmas Book. For 2013 the car in question is the McLaren 12C Spider. They will offer 12 uniquely-trimmed units of the car for $354,000 apiece. That is about eighty grand more than the standard 12C Spider, but then a Neiman Marcus Edition car comes with a few lavish extras.
The buyers of this special 12C will be flown first class to Woking, England, for a tour of the McLaren Technology Center and production line, and also dinner with McLaren boss Ron Dennis.
As for the car itself, they come in a Volcano Red paint finish, diamond-cut wheels with gloss black finish, red stitching all over the cabin, gloss black trims, and a custom McLaren luggage set. Paying an extra 80 grand for these extras sounds bonkers, but the tour of the Technology Center is probably worth it. We’re not sure about that dinner date with Ron either. He will probably spend the whole evening talking about G Force.
Neiman Marcus cars usually sell out quickly, so if you want one of these 12Cs you better keep an eye out. They will go on sale at noon EDT on October 24. Neiman Marcus will donate a portion of their profit to charity on behalf of the buyers.
