The first pictures of the new and ultra-hot Jaguar XFR-S make their way to the web ahead of the car’s official debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. This is Jag’s fastest and most powerful sedan ever, and it looks like it.
The XFR-S features a revised front-end design with a more muscular bumper with larger air intakes and a carbon lip, plus a blacked-out sports grille. The high performance saloon also features a new diffuser and a big spoiler at the back, both made of carbon. Large 20-inch wheels and red brake calipers are other telltale signs of its enormous inner strength.
With all these bits and bobs the car doesn’t look Jaguarish at all, but as long as it’s faster than the M5 F10, its job is done. For that Jaguar have fitted the XFR-S with the same supercharged V8 engine that makes 550 horsepower in the XKR-S. Stiffer suspension, a cleverer traction control, and a limited-slip diff could be among the other high performance goodies this car is blessed with.
Performance-wise, the XFR-S will make 60 mph from zero in 4.4 seconds, and reaches a limited top speed of 186 mph. Official details and specs should be released soon, so stay tuned.
