Honda is still confident they can rescue the Crosstour, a crossover vehicle that copied BMW X6 very badly and never lived up to the expectations. So they give the car yet another facelift for the new year. They had changed it for 2012, but apparently those changes didn’t work.

This new facelift is not really a makeover. It is quite subtle and you have strain your eyes really hard to notice the differences. Honda says it now has a more purposeful exterior styling, but we still don’t like it.

More significant changes have happened under the bonnet, on the list of equipments, and on the price tags. The car now starts from $27,230 for the four-cylinder model, which shows a 500 bucks drop compared to the last year’s model. The base V6 model starts at $30,890, and the AWD one at $34,990.

2013 Crosstour also comes with more standard equipments than ever, including a rearview camera with guidelines, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink, USB/iPod connection, fog lights, one-touch turn signals and an Expanded View Driver’s Mirror. The front-wheel-drive Crosstour offers two trim levels (EX, EX-L) available with four-cylinder or V-6 powertrains, with Real Time 4WD available on the EX-L V-6 model. Rich new exterior colors for 2013 include Kona Coffee Metallic and Mountain Air Metallic.

As for the engines, the 4-cylinder engine now returns 22 mpg city, 31 mpg highway, 25 mpg combined, while developing 192 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque. The 3.5 liter V6 meanwhile gives 278 hp and 252 lb-ft torque, while managing 20, 29, 23 mpg city/highway/combined. Those figures for the AWD model are 18/28/22.
