After making its world debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show in September, the gorgeous Jaguar F-Type now makes its first public appearance in the UK at this year’s Lord Mayor’s Show in London, where over 500,000 people got to see it. The car was accompanied by Jaguar Academy of Sports Ambassador Jessica Ennis, and two fully restores E-Types.
The F-Type is the spiritual successor to the E-Type. It is a two-seater sports roadster, going on sale in 2013 with a V6 and a V8 engine, both supercharged. The car is dripping with magic and emotion and joie de vivre. It is fast, beautiful, sexy, and makes an awesome noise. Prices start at around 60,000 GBP and goes up to 80 for the V8 model.

Jessica Ennis commented: “It was great being part of the Lord Mayor’s Show in the Jaguar F-TYPE. I was amazed how many people turned out to watch the procession.”
Pageantmaster Dominic Reid OBE said: “It was a great honour for us to welcome such an outstanding Olympian as Jessica Ennis to the Lord Mayor’s Show. It was wonderful how the crowd reacted to her.” He added: “It was great to see Jaguar Cars back in the parade and the new F-TYPE making its UK debut supported by two important E-Types. This was particularly poignant as my father’s E-Type was driven in the show in 1973 by Graham Hill.”
