With the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show around the corner, Jaguar drops the second teaser shot for the XFR-S, the fastest sedan car they’ve ever built. The new teaser shows off the car’s unnecessarily showy but undeniably cool rear spoiler.
And it appears to be made of carbon fiber – exposed carbon fiber. Well, not all of it, but the middle part. Again, interesting, but we all know how dorky having a carbon spoiler on a four-door sedan can look. The thing is, the XFR-S is probably going to need that spoiler, what with a weapons-grade supercharged 5.0-litre AJ-V8 engine under the bonnet.
If the car’s running gear is similar to the XKR-S, and it almost certainly is, it benefits from 550PS and 680Nm of torque. That means a 0 to 60mph time of slightly over 4 seconds, and a top speed of – if not limited – over 186 mph.
Jaguar XFR-S will makes its debut in Los Angeles next to the Jaguar F-Type Black Pack.
