A few days after Skoda revealed the new 2013 Octavia, the first pictures of the its RS version leak to the web. They appear to be extracted from the car’s online configurator, and show remarkable changes over the standard model.
The RS gets new front and rear bumpers with a bit more sporty flare, as well as new side skirts, rear spoiler and sports tailpipes. There are other subtle changes such as blacked-out side mirrors and red brake calipers.
The most interesting part of the car, however, is the engine. RS Skodas have always been surprisingly good, even diesel models. No official details are available yet, but whatever engine Skoda puts under the bonnet of Octavia RS is going to be turbocharged and make more than 200 horsepower.
