Before revealing the all-new Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Motor Show, Chevy obviously had to rehearse the event to make sure everything’s in check. But they came up with a better idea. They combined the rehearsal with a small party they threw for the employees who are, in one way or another, part of the Corvette’s team.

Refresher: 2014 Corvette is a totally new product from the ground up, sharing only two parts with the outgoing model. Even in its entry-level model, the new ‘vette features carbon fiber body panels for lightness, which also results in extra rigidity and improved handling. It comes with a five-way adjustable traction control to harness the power of its new LT1 V8 engine. It launches with 450 horsepower, with more powerful versions to follow later on.
