As we get closer to the 2013 Detroit Motor Show, Shelby sheds some lights on the company’s plans for the new year, which by the looks of thing is going to be very busy. They are bringing two new models to the 2013 NAIAS, and preparing more for the next New York Auto Show.
One of the Detroit-bound cars is expected to be a Carroll Shelby tribute model, probably based on the new GT500 with fancier looks and even more power, and the other a new wide-body Super Snake. The latter is going to look especially cool, as Shelby says you can fit it with 345 or even a 355 wide tire on the back.
Shelby is also working on less bonkers models for the next GTS and GT350 models. With the new cars the company is going to put more emphasize on smaller engines, and make up for the power with turbocharges. So expect to see more V6 models, maybe even four-cylinders… who knows.
