Not that it was a secret, but Chevrolet has now officially confirmed debut of the Corvette Stingray Convertible at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. They even released this cool graphic you see above to tease us.
Chevy says they’ve chosen Geneva as the venue for the Stingray Convertible’s world debut, because this new Corvette is now the face of GM and the whole world recognizes it. Visually, the Convertible is a bit different than the coupe, featuring a toned down front fascia, different wheels, and no rear spoiler.
In terms of technicalities, though, the drop-top Stingray offers the same technology and performance as the hardtop, which means you get a 450 horsepower LT1 V8, and a sophisticated suspension system.
Corvette Stingray Convertible leaked images:
“Every Corvette is designed at the outset as an open car,” said Tadge Juechter, Corvette chief engineer. “The new Stingray is no different, with the coupe and convertible designed to excel in any situation – be it your daily commute, a drive across the continent, or charging through twisting backroads.”
