At the 2013 New York Auto Show Jaguar will introduce a new member of its high-performance ‘R’ lineup based on the flagship XJ. The Jaguar XJR boasts a supercharged V8 engine developing 550 horsepower, sport suspension and aerodynamic improvement over the standard XJ.
Jaguar says he XJR is the most focused, agile and responsive XJ ever made. Visually, the XJR features different bumpers and side skirts than the standard car and rides on bigger wheels. Inside the cabin you will probably find some carbon fiber complementing the leather and wood trims. Performance figures are yet to be revealed.
In New York, the XJR will be joined by the F-TYPE and All-Wheel Drive XF and XJ sedans.
According to Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director, Jaguar: “The new XJR epitomises the three pillars of technology, performance and contemporary design which the Jaguar brand stands for in the twenty-first century, while delivering new levels of dynamic ability in a luxury saloon.”
