Before the new 2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS makes its official debut at the New York Auto Show, GM revealed it in full on a morning TV show. Now, it is an odd choice of program for a car like this, because the show in question is called LIVE with Kelly and Michael, which is mostly about family stuff like cooking and gardening!
Not sure what they were thinking, but the show reveal gave us our first glimpse of the new Camaro SS. The 2014 model comes with a ZL1 style good, narrower grille and wider air intake in the front bumper. Inside the cabin the materials seem to be slightly enhanced, what with a new leather-wrapped dashboard, and the sat-nav unit is also standard. We hope that the appalling fit and finish of the previous models have also been addressed.
The new Camaro SS will launch with the same engine lineup as before, consisting of a 320hp V6 and a 430hp V8, plus a 550hp supercharged V8 in the ZL1.
