American billionaire and Ferrari enthusiast Jim Glickenhaus, best known for his one-off Ferrari P4/5 Competizione and its racing version, is working on a new bespoke model called the P33. It is going to be a super light, super fast sports car with a targeted weight of under 800 kg.

To be built by Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus (SCG) racing team, the P33 will be made entirely out of carbon fiber and will be powered by a twin-turbo V6 engine. So it is no longer a Ferrari-powered car. This engine will make around 500 horsepower, which given the weight of the car is enough to give it a blistering performance.

It’s all about the power to weight ratio with this model. Glickenhaus is utilizing his experiences from racing the Competizione to make the ultimate performance machine. He is also considering some innovative features such as sliding doors, inspired by an old Pininfarina concept.

Glickenhaus hopes to make the P33 ready for a 2015 Geneva Motor Show launch.
