Celebrating their 10th year in business and 100th production car, Koenigsegg unveiled the one-off Agera S Hundra at the Geneva Motor Show. The car is finished in clear carbon, and to soften to soften the edges they’ve used real 24-karat gold garnishing the exterior.

The result in an exquisite-looking super car with a price tag that reads $1.6 million. But there is more the Hundra that just what meets the eye. It is a technological masterpiece. The gold is not only used to style the car, it is also utilized in some of the mechanical systems, such as coil springs, rear deck struts and exhaust, because it is the best alloy there is. Functionality has always been the top priority for Koenigsegg.

Those awesome carbon fiber wheels are another example of the Swedish car maker superior technology. They not only looks freezingly cool, they weigh next to nothing. The wheels feature hollow carbon spoke that make them incredibly rigid, and incredibly light. The front wheels weigh 4.5 kg each, and rear ones 6.5 kg each.

The Hundra features a version of Koenigsegg’s famous 5.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 1,030 hp and 1,100Nm of torque. This engine is tuned to work with the premium fuel sold in Hong Kong, because that’s where it’s headed after the show.
