Here’s your chance to see McLaren’s new hyper car, the P1, in action and hear the soundtrack of its V8-turb0-hybrid powertrain as McLaren F1’s new boy Sergio “Checo” Perez takes it around the Top Gear test track. Dunsfold is McLaren’s favorite venue to test their new cars, which is why they are confident the P1 is going to set an incredibly fast lap time in the hands of the Stig.

Can’t wait for that, but for now let’s see what Sergio has to say about the P1. He seems very impressed with the car’s acceleration:

Accelerating is actually the P1’s forte. Top speed is electronically limited to 350 km/h (217 mph), with the 0-100 km/h standing start acceleration taking less than three seconds .The McLaren P1 will power from rest to 200 km/h in less than seven seconds, and on to 300 km/h in less than 17 seconds – a full five seconds quicker than the McLaren F1.
