Mysterious Ferrari F12 Mule Spied in Italy

Even though the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is still considered as a ‘hot out of the oven’ model, it seems that the Italian super car maker is already working on new variants of it. This test mule based on the f12 has been spotted recently in Italy, fully camouflaged and sporting a prototype license plate.

Just like the 599, the F12 will be getting a limited run convertible model and a couple of high-performance editions in due course. But it is hard to say based on this picture which one is coming first.

This could be the convertible model because as you can see it has a fake rear glass that hints at a new roof arrangement. Chances are the F12 Cabrio will feature a similar system to the 458 Spider with a folding hardtop.

This car could also be the GTO version of the F12; a hardened, more powerful, track-focused version sporting the legendary badge. Although, how Ferrari is going to make the F12 more powerful and better that it already is – 740 horsepower, 340 km/h top speed – we have no idea.
