Renault announced its lineup for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, and besides the usual range of their hot hatches and classic race cars, they are bringing two new sports concept cars to the show, one of which a 100% electric car.

This is very exciting news, because as you know, Renault is very good at making fast sports cars. We don’t know anything about the electric car, but the other could be a new version of the Alpine sports car concept. Part of Renault’s Goodwood campaign is marking the relaunch of Alpine brand.

Apart from these two, Renault is going to wow the fans of old school Motorsport with an array of legendary racing cars including the 1978 RS01 that was the first turbo F1 car, the sensational 1978 Le Mans-winning  Alpine A442B, the stylish 1977 Groupe 5 Alpine A310 rally car, the enormous and extraordinary-looking 1926 Renault 40CV ‘des records’, a 1902 Renault Type K that was one of the world’s earliest racing cars, and the dramatic Renault 5 Maxi Turbo of 1984.

What’s more, they will be showing four examples of Renault RS27-powered F1 cars from the 2013 championship, including the race-winning Lotus E21, the Red Bull RB9, the Caterham CT03 and the Williams FW35.

The new Clio and the electric ZOE will be also be there somewhere in the shadows! Honestly, with all these racing and sports cars around who’s going to go look at the ZOE?
