As the new Skoda Octavia Estate makes its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the Czech car maker announced the official pricing and specs of the car for the British market. The large estate car which is one of the most versatile in its class is priced 800 quid more than the hatchback version.
That means a basic Skoda Octavia Estate with the 1.2-litre TSI 105PS engine is going to set you back £16,790. You can go up from there, ending up with a fully-loaded 2.0-litre TDI CR 150PS DPF DSG Elegance model that costs £24,040.
The Octavia Estate is 4.66 metres long which is 90mm more its predecessor. The Boot space measures 610 litres (20 litres more than the new Octavia Hatch), and it’s expandable to a massive 1,740 litres with the rear seats down. That makes it one of the most practical wagons out there.
You are advised to spend more and get the higher spec models, because they come with advanced safety features such as Automatic Post-Collision Brake, Front Assistant with City Emergency Braking Function, the Driver Fatigue sensor, the Crew Protection Assistant or the Lane Assistant to keep you inside the lanes.
