The new modelyear Renault Laguna sedan and estate have been revealed with the 2013 Collection, featuring a couple of modest updates. These models are distinguished by a revised front-end styling boasting new LED lights. You also get new 16-inch alloys, with optional 17-inchers available.
Inside the cabin you can count on new upholstery, a premium, tailor-engineered Bose system, and the latest version of in-dash multimedia Renault R-Link tablet, offering a wide range of entertainment and connectivity features.
The 2013 Laguna can also be specified with Renault’s “4Control” chassis. It is a four-wheel steering which gives the car greater manoeuvrability, but we’re sure about all the emphasis Renault puts on this system affecting the car’s handling and gives it more precision. The 4Control chassis is available for those versions of the car powered by the Energy 2.0 dCi 130, Energy 2.0 dCi 150, Energy 2.0 dCi 175, TCe 180 or V6 dCi engines.
Speaking of the engines, the 1.5 dCi unit returns an astonishing 4.3 litres/100km, while the 2.0 dCi engine – available in 130hp, 150hp or 175hp versions – does 4.5 liters. The 2.0 dCi 175 can manage 5.7 liters/100km, which is still good considering the power output. The petrol engines available for Laguna and Laguna Estate Collection 2013 are the 2.0 16V, with a manual six-speed gearbox, and the TCe 180 mated to six-speed automatic transmission. The Laguna coupe can be had with an exclusive V6 dCi developing 240 horsepower and returning 7.1 liter/100km.
