Just as the new Porsche Panamera makes its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show, the German car maker releases a new promo video, showing the car in action. Not much has changed in terms of styling with the new Panamera, but its design has sort of matured over time, and it is now kind of cool. Still far from pretty, but cool.
The video is dubbed a Porsche for everyday, arguing that a Porsche driver should not compromise on the unique feel and driving fun of his beloved sports car just because he needs practicality in everyday commute. The Panamera is the answer.
What sets the 2014 Panamera aside is the addition of a new hybrid model. It makes 416 horsepower, does 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 270 km/h, while returning an unbelievable 91 mpg (3.1 liter/100 km).
Gone is the V8 engine, and in its place you get a twin-turbo V6. That’s the bad news. The Good news is, the V6 makes 430 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque. Read more: 2014 Porsche Panamera Details
