So we saw a review of the Jaguar F-Type in isolation on the track and the road, and we also witnessed Tiff Needell beat the living daylight out of it against a Porsche 911 at Bedford. Now here’s another round of F-Type versus 911 – a battle that will be staged more and more over the coming weeks and months. This time Steve Sutcliffe compares these two on some lovely twisty Welsh roads.
We won’t spoil the verdict for you, but we just say this: while the Porsche is a precision tool, deadly and accurate, the Jag is a bit more laid back and cool in dealing with situations. It’s not the old scalpel versus sledge hammer malarkey, but there is a slight difference in character here.
