Hyundai suidie ad 600x315 at Hyundai UK Apologizes for Suicide Themed ix35 Commercial

Hyundai UK has issued an official statement apologizing for an inappropriate suicide-themed commercial that went viral on the Internet. They claim that the ad was created by an affiliate advertising agency without Hyundai’s approval, but nobody’s buying it.

The controversial commercial is about a miserable fella trying to off himself using the old exhaust pipe trick, only to realize the car is actually a fuel cell and only emits H2O, which is water. Come to think of it, maybe he made the right decision!

“Hyundai Motor deeply and sincerely apologises for the offensive viral ad,” Say the Company’s officials. “The ad was created by an affiliate advertising agency, Innocean Europe, without Hyundai’s request or approval. It runs counter to our values as a company and as members of the community. We are very sorry for any offence or distress the video caused. More to the point, Hyundai apologises to those who have been personally impacted by tragedy.”
