The guys from Everyday Driver channel took three affordable, full-blooded sports cars to their favorite roads on Pacific Coast Highway to figure out which is the best choice. The Honda and the Mazda are not available anymore as new, but then they can be obtained at a lower price than the brand-new Scion FR-S. The object here is to find the best drive – the biggest smile – which is the deciding factor when it comes to judging sports cars.
To be honest all these cars are absolutely wonderful for a very simple reason. They all make the mundane job of driving to work, running errands, and other stuff involving spending time on the road, more fun. If you don’t need four seats, you should get a sports cars as a daily driver. They make life feel a little less bitter!
I agree with most everything in the comparison, but (for me) the RX8 is definitely the best looking of the three. I’ve never been a fan of convertibles, so I’m kind of meh about the S2000. As for the FRS, it’s just plain vanilla looking to me. Of course, I’m kind of biased as I own an RX8. I have thought about getting something more practical, but I just can’t bring myself to trade it in. I might keep it as a second car. It’s just awesome to drive and it gets a lot of stares. Call me shallow, but the looks of a car are very important to me.
