A Spanish estate car may not look all that significant to the fans of performance cars – which you probably are, since you are here – but the new version of the SEAT Leon ST come with such remarkable specs and features that it is going to have a big impact on this popular segment in Europe.

And now thanks to the good fellas at Autoforum.cz who always provide us with early looks at important new models, we get to see the first shots of the 2014 Leon ST. Looking so nice and tidy that you’d be forgiven for mistaking it for an Audi, the new SEAT Leon boasts over 580 liters of luggage space. That is with the rear seats up. This is a hugely practical car relative to its rather compact size.

The new Leon ST will come with a wide range of petrol and diesel powertrains thanks to the parent company, Volkswagen. It’ll include everything from a 1.2 liter 80 PS engine, to a meaty 180 PS 1.8 liter, and some TDIs as well, with outputs ranging from 90 to 185 PS. Official specs and details are expected to be released soon.
