Subaru Australia has launched a new sports package for the BRZ. The STI-designed kit improves almost every aspect of the car – including exterior, interior, suspension, wheels and tires – but does nothing about the BRZ’s biggest flaw, which is the underpowered engine.
There is an aerodynamic kit consisting of a front spoiler lip, a pair of side skirts, trunk lid spoiler, and a plate under the diffuser which they call the under spoiler. All these bits are finished in crystal black mica. The package also includes a set of 17-inch black STI alloy wheels. So the visual effect is rather profound. The picture above compares the BRZ Sports Pack with a normal one.
Further changes include a st of sport springs that lower the ride height, a tower bar stabilizer, Duracon shift knob for the new gear lever, and a red STI push button start. The last two are the only interior mods.
The Sports Pack for the Subaru BRZ costs a very unreasonable $7,995 AUD.
