The sporty new Ford F-150 Tremor sport truck has been chosen by the organizers of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Michigan National Guard 200 as the official pace car of the Aug. 17 event. It will be the Tremor’s first proper outing ahead of its market launch this fall.
The Truck Series suits the character of the F-150 Tremor, as it is indeed a sports car disguised as a hard working pickup truck. The car has a 365 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque 3.5 liter EcoBoost engine. It is tuned for sport driving with a launch-optimized 4.10 rear axle and standard electronic locking rear differential.
The F-150 Tremor pace cars are fitted with the FX Appearance Package that features stealthy, flat-black accents that include unique 20-inch wheels, stylized bodyside graphics and black badges with red lettering. They are factory standard apart form a set of lights bar.
Other sporty features of the Tremor that set it apart from the rivals include black leather seating surfaces with red piping, brushed-metal accents and a red-stitched steering wheel. It even gets MyFord Touch system with a large 8-inch LCD color touch screen.
